Curiosity Scale

How Curious are you?

The Wonderer

Every family has one or two people who are curious, they wonder where they came from and what kind of people their ancestors were. These people often don't know where to begin to look.

The Curious

A few of these wonderers will take a closer look, they will look into the lives of their family members to see what they can learn. They will usually see what others have found and accept this as fact. They will usually want to know more, but don't have the time or money to continue searching.

The Researchers

There are those who will want to make sure what they see is correct, they will find facts, they will make sure what they learn is true. They have resources and know the best places to look. They will look at the whole picture of the ancestor, where they lived, who they know.

The Story Tellers

The storytellers will look at those facts and breathe life back into a person. They strive to understand, to feel their happiness, pride, and sadness. They find a connection and have pride in knowing that they saved someone from being forgotten.

Afraid to Know

There are those who are afraid of what they might learn, what skeletons they might unearth. What horrors or tragedies occurred in their ancestor's lifetime? And how that knowledge will affect them once they know the truth.

Have No Regrets

These family members know they are likely to uncover dark areas in the past, but they wish to continue to look so that they may learn from the past, and get a better understanding of who their relatives were and what kind of people they descend from.
